I'll admit it, I'm a little bit obsessed with Audrey Hepburn, and most of the outfits of the characters she plays are amazing fashion inspiration. But 'My Fair Lady' is especially good for looking at the elegance of the clothes of that time. Obviously, what was fashionable back then might not be so suitable now though, so here are some modern day interpretations of some of the best outfits from 'My Fair Lady':

If you keep the idea of the form-fitting dress, but take it shorter and one shouldered, it becomes a lot more modern, while still maintaining references to Audrey Hepburn's outfit. Also, as Audrey's outfit in this scene is the only one with any colour; adding a pop of red in the form of a flower shaped clutch is perfect, especially as the bag gives a nod to her previous life selling flowers. Swap out a skirt and jacket for a cute short suit in the same shade, then trade a typical Eliza hat for a statement headband in a matching colour. Outfit 3: Elisa's white dress
Elisa clearly knew the power of an all white ensemble, as every girl should. Bring the look up to date and on trend with a lace LWD (definitely reminds me of the dress Blair Waldorf wore in the Hamptons), then trade a slightly-too-fancy tiara for an embellished headband.
